London Stadium Launches Meetings & Events Business

London Stadium is now open for business, with the launch of its meeting and events arm.

The venue, in the heart of Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, boasts a range of spaces for all occasions, offering views of the stadium bowl or the London skyline.

The centrepiece of the 2012 Olympic Games has been transformed to offer unrivalled choice and flexibility, whether your event is for six delegates, or 1,000 guests.

The Stadium’s meetings & events facilities are stylishly decorated to pay homage to East London’s rich history, while embracing the venue’s recent, yet substantial history.

Each space has an individual identity, from the Arnold Hills, which pays homage to a true visionary, a man with an appetite for change and whose grand vision for east London began to realise its potential over 100 years later at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, to the Royal East, a space to recognise the achievements of the

Taking inspiration from Bobby Moore’s professional heyday, BM6 is styled in the sixties and explores the player, the friend and the gentleman. The Forge is a timeless tribute to glory and showcases the end result of tireless determination and real effort.

A space that wears Olympic medals and football accolades proudly, the Great Briton references the British champions of London 2012 as well as those remarkable West Ham United players and managers who earned a major winners medal. The Academy is an elegant exploration of the care and the craft that goes into developing young athletes.

In addition, mini tours have been developed specifically for the meetings and events market and delegates and dinner guests will be able to put themselves in the shoes of the Super Saturday athletes as they made their preparations on the warm up track before the roar of the crowds spurred them on to gold. They can also follow in the footsteps of footballing heroes and make the walk along the players’ tunnel, out to the manager’s dugout before standing pitch side at the iconic venue where they can imagine they are being serenaded by a deafening rendition of ‘I’m forever blowing bubbles’ by a capacity crowd.

Linda Lennon, London Stadium Chief Executive Officer, commented “This Stadium already has an amazing history from the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games and the Rugby World Cup 2015. It has an even more exciting future as the home of West Ham United and UK Athletics. The meetings and events spaces offer a unique opportunity to hold an event in a venue inspired by the achievements of the great athletes who have graced this iconic venue.”

Delaware North, the hospitality and food service provider at the Stadium, will be managing the meetings and events and Doug Tetley, Managing Director at Delaware North UK, commented: “We’re delighted to be hosting the London Stadium meetings and events and look forward to creating exciting, memorable and stylish experiences”
