London Stadium Seeks It Systems Engineer

Following a spectacular summer of concerts and athletics events, an exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team as IT Systems Engineer. The succesful candidate will support our IT Manager in the operational and technical success of events at London Stadium, as well as the day to day running of IT systems.

JOB DESCRIPTION: ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

General IT support, dealing with hardware and software enquiries; working to deliver a professional high quality service level to end users, stakeholders and event organisers. 
o 1st and 3rd line support for all network, server, application, desktop and laptop users 
o Responsible for Pre-event system checks (e.g. IPTV, Call Manager, Server, Access Control, Ticketing, WiFi) 
o 1st and 3rd line support for all event day systems (e.g. IPTV, Call Manager, Server, Access Control, Ticketing and WiFi) 
o Server maintenance, support and monitoring (Using best practises) 
o Working together with the IT Manager to ensure staff IT training requirements have been met 

Other key responsibilities: 
o The support of Cisco Infrastructure (LAN, IPT and WiFi) 
o The support of the Firewall Infrastructure 
o The support of hardware and software for Servers (Virtual) 
o OS Server Support – Microsoft Server 2012-2016 
o Experience with TCIP/IP, DNS and DHCP 
o Experience of SQL Server, Active Directory with Nutanix and VMware environments 
o Support of the IPTV Solution 
o Support of Wireless PTP infrastructure 
o The support of hardware and software for Desktops and Laptops 
o OS Support – Microsoft Windows 7,8,10 as well as Mac OS x 10.7-10.13 
o The support of Microsoft products such as O365 
o End user and product support for printers and photocopiers 
o Diagnose & troubleshoot computer systems 
o Respond to and log calls, escalating calls as required with key support vendors 
o Provide AV support and presentation projectors support to staff, stakeholders and event organisers 
o Manage the IT recycle programme for the organisation (WEEE) 
o Manage/Support of hardware procurement and 3rd party suppliers 
o Manage and set up new hardware following IT policies and procedures 
o Document new procedures 
o Provide one on one training when requested 
o Event Support 

  • Developing & maintaining strong, effective relationships with event organisers & stakeholders
  • Reporting to and supporting the Head of Operations and IT Manager in all aspects concerning implementation of the events 
  • Implementing processes and operational solutions, to ensure efficient, safe and high-quality operations for all stakeholders 
  • Coordinating with Stadium teams, as well as with FM, catering, security and other contractors, the on-site technical infrastructure and services to the appropriate standard and within the agreed budget
  • Work with VINCI Stadium team on wider corporate aims and objectives, ensuring that the parent company’s policy and procedures are adhered to 
  • Monitor and asses any risks and issues posed to the event planning and delivery
  • Management of additional event day staff – providing comprehensive briefing and direction for successful delivery of the event
  • Support for all matters regarding the Fortress GB access control system
  • Support for event ticketing solutions
  • Work with the Head of Technical with all broadcast and technology requirements for the event
  • Prepare & submit post event reports
  • Conduct event organiser site visits and walk rounds
  • Represent LS185 on behalf of senior management team when required
  • Work on other ad hoc commercial and operational projects as required
  • Adhere to the LS185 Procurement Process and ensure that all the Purchase Orders / financial information are entered accurately in line with the deadlines communicated by the Finance department
  • Take responsibility for own Health and Safety requirements
