Day ten of the IPC World Para Athletics Championships, and Team GB continued their impressive run of form during the day's morning session. After an incredible showing from Kadeena Cox last night, Team GB continued their impressive run of results in the morning session of day 10 of the championships.

Jonathon Broom-Edwards was attempting to add a T44 high jump gold to his growing medal collection (three silver medals at global level). However, the Brit finished with a silver, only behind Poland’s world record holder Maciej Lepiato, who has won gold during the last four major championships.

“I feel great, but it’s not quite the result I was aiming for,” said Edwards.

“He was there to be had and I cleared 2.16 the other day. I try not to think of him when I’m competing but he is my rival, and even though he is such a nice guy, of course I want to win” A defiant Broom-Edwards said after his effort which fell just short of his rival.

Elsewhere Paul Blake finished fourth in qualifying during the T36 100m, but he did eventually qualify as the fastest loser, he later tweeted:

“Made my first ever 100m final, not bad for a middle-distance runner’.

Fellow member of team GB, Graeme Ballard also qualified for the final of the T36 100m.

Finally, Laura Sugar qualified for the women’s 200m T44, after finishing second in this morning’s heat.
