Major League Baseball

Major League Baseball returns to London Stadium to host St Louis Cardinals v Chicago Cubs in June 2023. The build for the event will take place from 5th June and taken down post the events until 30th June. Three events will be hosted with spectators as listed in the above summary. The event management plan will have similarities to West Ham matches relating to crowd arrivals and departures.

Monster Jam

Monster Jam Truck Show will be returning to London Stadium on the 15th July opening from

10:30am. There will be truck movements on venue from 12th July with a rehearsal planned on 14th July. We expect a similar event management plan for West Ham matches to be in place.

Concerts

There will be three concerts at London Stadium, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park this summer.

On live concert days we work with our event delivery partners to minimise disruption. London Stadium 185 (operators of the Stadium) will have a dedicated free phone number 0800 055 7505.

During office hours in June / July please email customer service at: customerservice@londonstadium.com

Please ensure that you share name, contact number, address and a brief description of your feedback.

On the concert event day, the dedicated number will be answered by a member of staff on site who will investigate your enquiry.

London Stadium 185 also works in close liaison with the London Borough of Newham's Environmental Health and licensing departments where calls and information will be shared.

Together we will investigate any concerns raised and visit locations and premises as necessary. Please note all calls will be recorded. We are also working with the London Boroughs of Hackney, Tower Hamlets and Waltham Forest.

On site noise will be restricted where possible to 8am to 10pm when the concerts/major events are being built (from 29 May) and taken down (until 24 July 2023). Any overnight working will be limited, with no audible sound outside of the boundary to the venue. During the Weeknd world tour there will be a 24 hour build & break period the dates for this are 4 July- 10 July.

Some further points to note:

Sound checks: There will be sound checks at the Stadium from two days before each concert, which may take place between 9am and 8pm. On Friday 2 June there will be a sound check from 6-10:30pm. More precise times will be made available our website as they are known. There will be further sound checks on the event day itself before the concerts begin. The curfew for the concert is at 10:30pm, however the premises license allows for performance up until 23:00.

Stadium Island closures: The Stadium island will be closed to the public on the following days around the events -

Burna Boy - 2 June to 4 June

MLB - 19 June to 28 June

The Weeknd - 6 July to 9 July

Monster Jam - 14 July to 16 July

Athletics - 21 July to 24 July

Road closures: Any road closures for major events will be kept to a minimum, with primary consideration given to the safety of pedestrians. Access will be maintained to all Westfield car parks (A and Bat International Way / Roundhouse Lane) and for London Buses to the northern bus depot. It is currently planned to implement the full or partial closure of the following roads:

•          Carpenters Road
•          Siding Street
•          Marshgate Lane
,          Montfichet Road
•          Pool Street
•          Westfield Avenue

It is planned to close Westfield Avenue, between Montfichet Road and International Way, from 13:00 to Midnight to facilitate the safe spectator access into the park and egress from the concert.

To facilitate the safe egress of spectators it is intended to execute a series of road closures, as listed above, an hour prior to the advertised finish time, until the egress has concluded, whereby authorisation will be given to reopen roads.

Taxi ranks in Montfichet Road will be inaccessible from around 21:30 to 23:59h on concert dates, during the egress phase of the concert. Pedestrians requiring a taxi rank will be directed to the North Bus Station Stratford or Merdidan Square South Side of Stratford Regional Station.

These planned closures are subject to provisos to provide access to emergency vehicles or to open roads in the event of an emergency to assist an evacuation.
