The finale to London World Para Athletics 2017

The IPC World Para Athletic Championships are at an end. 1,166 athletes from 86 countries across 10 days. London Stadium has been full of excitement, record setting achievements and incredible crowds, how did it come to a close?

Australian James Turner completed a superb treble in London, taking the T36 800m. The world record holder comes out the championships as one of the stars of Para-Athletics.
 
Marlou Van Rhijn avenged losing the T44 100m to Sophie Kamlish by earning gold in the 200m. The Olympic and World champion ensured she won a third consecutive world title keeping her crown as queen of the 200m.
 
Britain’s Sammi Kinghorn couldn't repeat her morning success with a fifth place finish in the T53 800m. Two golds and a bronze from London still emphasises Kinghorn’s stunning performances.
 
Algeria’s Lahouari Balaz broke the world record on his way to a gold medal in the F32 Shot Put. This gave him a golden double after victory in the club throw. 
 
In the Men's 4x100m T42-47 relay, Germany edged Italy and Japan to the gold medal.
 
Great Britain’s late surge of gold leaves them third in the overall medal table, with Hannah Cockroft the stand-out with three golds, taking her to ten world titles.
 
USA were just two ahead with 20. Tatyana McFadden’s contribution being a major impact, as she swept up four golds. But they couldn't catch China who finish with a staggering 30 golds, five coming on the final day of action.
