New West Ham United duo Joe Hart and Pablo Zabaleta can’t wait to sample London Stadium as Hammers for the first time.

West Ham begin their home campaign against Huddersfield Town on Monday 11 September under the floodlights at London Stadium, and the pair are looking forward to playing in front of a enthusiastic claret and blue crowd. Pablo Zabaleta has had previous experience playing at London Stadium with Manchester City during last season, while Hart will make his return to English football after a season in Serie A with Torino.

“I visited London Stadium twice last season and I was impressed by the size of the ground, and the fantastic noise created with in it by the West Ham fans," said Zabaleta.

“I am excited and looking forward to playing at London Stadium in our opening game, for sure. Playing in front of 60,000 fans is definitely one of the big reasons I signed for West Ham United."

Hart, after being made first choice 'keeper by Slaven Bilic, has called on the West Ham faithful to back their side, which has been bolstered not only with the addition of the Manchester City pair, but also the high profile captures of Marco Arnautovic from Stoke City, and Mexican striker  Javier Hernandez from Bayer Leverkusen.

“We know how important our home form will be this season if we are to achieve our targets. We are all massively looking forward to our first Premier League at London Stadium, and I’m absolutely sure it will be a complete sell out,” said Hart

“We start against Huddersfield Town under the floodlights and it’s going to be a big game in front of a big television audience. We all want to kick-off with a win and the support of the fans will give us a big boost on the night."
