London Stadium Shortlisted For Best Stadium Award

London Stadium has reached the final ten nominees for the Stadium DB Stadium of the Year 2016 award.

The multi-use stadium in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park is the only UK-based venue to reach the final stage, with the winner revealed on Monday 6 March.

2016 saw London Stadium become home of West Ham United in the Premier League, beginning with a showpiece fixture against Juventus, England face Australia in the RFL Four Nations and the Muller Anniversary Games, as well as seeing rock legends AC/DC become the first act to perform at the iconic venue.

The Stadium also boasts an enviable events calendar in 2017.

Following the conclusion of the Premier League season in May, Guns N’ Roses, Depeche Mode and Robbie Williams will perform at the venue throughout June, before focus shifts to athletics, and the IAAF World Championships & World ParaAthletic Championships in July and August.

London Stadium is one of nine football stadia in the running for the award, as well as the home of the Miami Dolphins in the NFL - the Hard Rock Stadium.

The award will be decided by a panel of five industry experts, and there is a public vote available here.
